Each year, CACC adopts out about 3,000 dogs and cats. Another 4,000 are taken in by various rescue groups, including the other shelters we list here. At any given time, there are about 500 animals in the shelter.

They are strays, unwanted, or abandoned. This is the public city shelter, so no animal is ever turned away.

$65. Includes spaying or neutering, city license, rabies and other vaccines, heartworm test, and microchip.

You'll be asked to fill out a screening application at the shelter.

|
You must be over 18, and have a valid driver's license or state id.
|
|
|
|
The city shelter is supported in part by tax dollars. Additional support comes from the Friends of CACC, a fundraising group.
