Compared to other subsidized clinics, spay and neuter prices here are high, ranging from $72 to $90 depending on a dog's weight and sex. But prices for vaccinations at this shelter are low. Offered once a month, on a first-come-first-serve basis, DHPP+C and rabies shots are just $18 each (versus $40 at many vet's offices) and dewormers are offered for $15.
Hours: Spaying and neutering are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Fridays. Appointments are required. The vaccination clinic is usually open the second Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. to noon, but be sure to call ahead to check the schedule.
